Not very sure how to use it still.

 Been wanting a pink laptop for the longest time but just couldn't bear to give up on my old laptop or stop lusting over the macbook air. 

I saw this recently (even though it has been out in the market for quite some time!), and thought it's the prettiest pink laptop I've ever seen!

 There is another option of the Sony VAIO E series where the pink version has a matching pink keyboard!

SHO SWEEET. 

 But i find it heavy at 2.3kg :x 

 It looks so good though, in every colour.

 Then I realised there is the latest version of the S series family. 

So-called improved version of the one i'm eyeing, in the very first pic of the post. 

Both are pretty much the same, other than slight differences in the intel core, memory space and and graphic card i think. Features (from Sony): 13.3” LCD display offers either 1600 x 900 or 1366 x 768 pixel high resolution. Plus the anti-reflective glossy finish provides a high contrast image, and is easy on the eyes. 

 Slot-in optical drive 

 The slot-in optical drive not only protects the beauty of the full flat design but also increases the rigidity of the frame. It strengthens the body while also eliminating the risk of the loading tray becoming bent. 

 4th generation HDD shock protection 

 The newest shock protection technologies for the hard disk drive utilise a multi-axis G sensor to detect how the PC is moving in order to protect the drive if the PC falls or is dropped.   

Anytime fast USB* charging 

 The USB charging feature allows you to rapidly recharge other devices from your notebook. Simply connect the device you want to recharge to the USB charging port. You can charge a device even when the notebook is turned off or is in Sleep mode and not connected to the AC mains. This feature is particularly useful if your smartphone or portable audio player suddenly runs out of battery power and you do not have easy access to a mains power outlet. 

 Backlit keyboard 

 The keyboard automatically lights up when used in dark places, making it easier to type in dimly lit rooms such as during your flight or in a conference room. The ambient light sensor even adjusts the screen brightness according to how much ambient light there is. 15.5" models are also equipped with a numeric keypad to enable faster input of numbers for spreadsheets.

However, one important feature i don't like for the new version is the - large touchpad with multi-gesture control 

 VAIO S Series features a large touchpad that allows you to take full advantage of the versatile gesture control function. The touchpad also allows scrolling and right clicking, enabling you to make use of more advanced PC functionality without having to use a mouse. 

 It is indeed larger than the previous version and hence centralized on the laptop, looking more pleasing aesthetically. The previous one has the touchpad slightly more to the left, aligned with the spacebar:

But I LIKE THE OLD TOUCHPAD JUST LIKE THAT. 

The new one is so large that my palm tends to touch it when I'm typing and the 'mouse' just keeps moving all over the screen. That is gonna interrupt my typing greatly. 

Furthermore, it is centralized with the entire laptop instead of the alphabet keys, which makes it even harder for me NOT to touch it when i'm typing :( 

 The previous version is priced at $1,299. Whereas the new upgraded version is only at $1,499. 

Just $200 difference. 

Logically speaking, I should be getting the new one right?? 

What's more it comes with an additional battery pack that allows you to use the laptop for 12hours without charging! 

Bet the battery pack alone cost around $200 or more already. 

 Also, secretly i think the new one looks prettier with rounded edges and more baby pinkish :| 

 But but but, I really need a laptop that is user-friendly on top of being pink and pretty. 

 SO, I shouldn't be getting the new version, despite it being a 'better' deal for those who doesn't mind or can type in such a manner that the large touchpad doesn't harm.

You get a 17-in-1 accessories pack (mouse, headphones, keyboard liquid cleaner, duster etc etc), anti-virus, x-mini speakers, and the usual carrying case + upgraded RAM. Applies to other laptops as well. 

I saw Acer, HP and ASUS laptops at the fair ;)

Accidentally chanced upon a little 'sneak-peek' listing for the 12A collection coming up in June/Julyish? (Probably Aug by the time it hits our local boutique -_-)

I want!!

My previous decision making process was being left at black vs red.

Red is a little too loud for my usual dressing.

Whereas my heart doesn't beat as fast when I see a black flap. 

Probably cos I saw too much of black Pradas previously. 3 black nappa bags/clutches at one go. 

Now I feel sick if I were to see another black leather classic bag. 

Okay, not really. 

but.. ah.. you get the drift. 

Black can be boring at times though it matches almost everything.

Now charcoal grey saves the world!

It's matchy matchy with everything as well, yet not too boring as plain black.

Isn't it a perfect choice??

And it only comes in caviar, so I won't regret not getting a lambskin version in future.

Still, it depends on the caviar as well.. If it's still the 'hard' rigid classic caviar, i might not like it.

Heard that the red for 12A would be in irridescent 'soft' caviar. Aww.. But no idea if it's gonna be bright red, orangey red or dark/burgundy red.

Man man man, now I have hot pink lambskin vs red iridescent caviar vs charcoal grey caviar.

Hope 12A arrives faster in stores!

Bellabox surprise! (April 2012)

My bellabox always seem to arrive later than the rest.. No idea why.

Love the divine shade of nude pink for BB box when i 'unwrapped' the parcel! 

Besides the usual information pamphlets and greeting message from BB, they enclosed a $5 gift voucher for Lemongrass House!

The theme for this month is Flawless Beauty and hence the box contained items that help us achieve that from the inside out :)

Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturiser with SPF 20 and Foundation Primer

I got to know Laura Mercier before this, while i was searching for concealor and eye cream.

If i remember correctly, the brand is a tad expensive. At least expensive enough for me to not buy and try it despite my super dark circles! :(

Looking forward to trying out the tinted moisturizer!

Kinohimitsu BB Drink

I'm rather surprised that the BB babes would include this in the box. Was expecting only stuffs used on the external such as usual cosmetic and skincare, nail polishes or shoe paddings and hollywood tapes kinda thing. So ya.

It actually taste not bad! As opposed to certain collagen drinks that are usually odd or too sourish that i need to add water to dilute it before drinking.

Kinohimitsu BB drink has a grapey/ribena taste to it :)

Of cos, 2 bottles aren't enough to determine the results it can give. Supplements should be taken long term :)

A simple calculation of the value of the box

1) Kinohimitsu BB Drink (2 bottles)

6 bottles retails for $39.90 and these 2 bottles cost $13.30

2) Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturiser with SPF 20 (5.3ml) and Foundation Primer (2ml)

A 45ml tube retails for $42, so this is $4.95

Yums nonetheless!  Bacon rolls. A tad saltish. But still great for those who love this dish!  Spring onions picked out for mine, hehe..

 Awkward-looking without my usual eyeliner :X Visited KSL, a largest new mall in JB.Lotsa shoes stores and clothing boutiques. Items are rather similar to those offered at Citysquare, but x10 the number of stores! So more choices and better prices :)To begin with, it's already alot cheaper than SG. I didn't buy much that day though, cos wasn't in the mood :(But I definitely wanna go back and get shoes! :DClothings-wise, i would still very much prefer online shopping. Much more convenient. Nothing seems to be able to catch my eyes in the boutiques these days. Haha.
 Super cute DIY ice-cream machines.It's not really Do-It-Yourself.. More like Dispense-It-Yourself :)Take a cup and dispense the amount of japanese ice cream you would like. Add toppings and send the whole cup for weighing!Price will be based on the total weight of it!It's like 4.20MYR per 100grams.. Didn't try cos I didn't feel like eating cold stuffs that day. Dinner @ the usual Xin Wang hongkong cafe. My must-have :X
