Absinthe

My first visit to Absinthe during RW after hearing so much raves.
It sure didn't fail our expectations :D

The restaurant lies in a 3/4-storey shophouse along Boat Quay.
Resembling more like a charming, upscale bistro than a higher-end restaurant, Absinthe's decor adds an extra touch of warmth & coziness to the whole dining experience.

Service was good.
The branch manager (or boss?) Vincent is very welcoming and warm :)
Love genuine people like that!

The baguette we got was hard as rocks :X But it's fine since I would like to leave my stomach for the mains then :)

Marinated Yellow Fin Tuna, Pesto & Frisee with Goat Cheese

I survived this appetizer despite having slight allergy to Yellow Fin Tuna. The bit of goat cheese salad goes very well with it.

Absinthe Style Seafood Pie

What a cute 'presentation'! I love how the pie was flaky and smells so buttery!
Dug out the fish, lol.
The inside lies a generous serving of creamy seafood.

Iberico Pork Presa "a la Plancha", Du Puy Lentils Ragout

This was fine, but then again, I'm not a person who knows how to appreciate pork exactly.

Seared Mediterttanean Sea Bream, Spinach and Prawn-Potato Crushed, Parsley Emulsion

The sea bream works for me. It was nicely seared and has a crispy skin. Most importantly, no fishy taste to it at all!
The prawn-potato mash underneath added flavour to the dish.

Valrhona Chocolate Tart, Coffee Cream

The dessert ended the dinner very well though the cream at the side didn't appeal to me at all. The tart was good, especially with the choco balls :D
